Ok, I have a confession: I love splurging on designer beauty products. I love it because it makes me feel so impossibly glamorous when I’m getting ready. I mean, let’s be honest, my closet isn’t going to be full of Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Dior anytime soon, but my makeup drawer sure is. These items are a tad pricey compared to drugstore brands, but the quality is worth it in my opinion.
For this spring beauty look, I used:
Dolce & Gabbana Perfection Veil Pressed Powder in Biscuit (6)*
Chanel Powder Blush in Pink Explosion (64)
Dolce & Gabbana Shaping Eyebrow Pencil in Stromboli (4)*
Dior Show Blackout Mascara in Kohl Black (099)
Dolce & Gabbana Classic Creme Lipstick in Coral (310)*
I had been searching for the perfect bright pink lip color for about a year and I am so glad to share that I have finally found it! The color of this Dolce & Gabbana Classic Creme Lipstick is so perfect, but on top of that, it glides on so smoothly, nourishes my lips, and stays on all day long. You know how those drugstore brands are always either/or? Well this one has it all. It may not be worth the money for some, but I will definitely get a lot of wear out of this so for me, it is.

Pretty. I used to splurge on mascara. Dior has a great one but then I found that covergirl is algo great. for blush, eye shadow and bronzer I do spend more; I don’t like having a mask on my face. Dolce & Gabbana is great but Dior was my first love.

I love Dior mascara! When I’m trying to be a little more budget savvy, I go with Maybelline Full & Soft. It’s great quality for the price!

Honestly, all the names of the D&G products made me hungry — I’d love a stromboli now! Or even a biscuit 😉
I’m not picky with my makeup, and I’m actually looking to wear more cruelty- and paraben-free products, so no splurging here — unless Pixi products count.

You look beautiful! I love the lipstick color, it’s perfect for spring. As for a beauty item that I would splurge on? That’d definitely be any type of perfume, right now I am obsessing over Miss Dior! Too bad it’s like $90!

The only drugstore item I’d compare to these is Maybelline Full & Soft. That’s my go-to when I can’t splurge on Dior!

Gorgeous pictures, Megan! I don’t know much about make-up, so I haven’t splurged on any. I am always in search of eyeliners and lipsticks though. I wear eyeliner everyday, but I only have one lipstick that I wear regularly. It’s red and I love it. I want to branch out though.

I find that I can justify splurging on face products over other items like eyeshadows and lipsticks. I think a nice base is most important, and plus, that stuff is sitting on our skin the whole day so it better be good stuff! ;-). That being said, I haven’t tried any of the D&G makeup goodies yet but they look great on you!!

I splurge on almost all of my makeup- I love how you put it “It makes me feel glamorous!” Totally agree! I can’t live without my Clinique foundation since I have super sensitive skin, my Urban Decay NAKED eye palette, and I just got hooked on Benefit’s They’re Real! I don’t find myself splurging as much on blush or eyeliner though.

I love Clinique! But I have NEVER tried a Naked palette. I think I’m the only person still left who doesn’t have one! I do love Benefit as well though 🙂

I don’t currently splurge on any makeup items, but I really need to start buying nice lipstick. It’s so much fun to try new colors, so I often go for what’s on sale at CVS…but my lips certainly aren’t thanking me for it! My lipsticks that stay all day have really horrible ingredients, and my lipsticks that have less harsh chemicals last for maybe ten minutes!
I love that color by the way (not sure if it will go well on me, but looks great for you!).

Amazing makeup!! I have a designer beauty product obsession too… I haven’t tried Dolce and Gabbana yet but will definitely have to now! Have you tried Tom Ford lipstick?
