With spring in the air, retiring your cold weather clothes and opting for floral dresses and sandals for the new season is a great way to kick off the start of the warm weather. But no outfit is complete without a manicure! Adding a nice pop of color is perfect for warmer weather and nail polish is a cheap and easy way to do just that. This spring, instead of going for the classic French manicure, try these fun, new ideas for your nails.
Ombre. Bring out your inner Boho chic with Ombre nails. With different variations in style and color, some ideas include the fading effect on each nail and also a cascade of color on each individual nail. Favorite color picks include electric blues, and hot pink.
Grey. Who says grey is drab? Replace your jet black winter color palette with a dark grey polish. This neutral color matches perfectly with almost any outfit and skin tone. Our favorite pick is Essi in Merino Cool, $8. Apothica.com.
Shatter. For a bold and daring look, try shatter polish. It goes on smooth and quickly “shatters” for a two-toned metallic and solid color effect.
Glitter. If you’re looking to turn heads this weekend, glitter nail polish is a great way to offset a solid color dress. Use bright blue for a fun look or metallic hues for a more subtle contrast.
Seafoam Green. Top nail color trend of the season? Seafoam green. This soft hue especially complements any floral patterns of the spring. Try OPI Thanks A Windmillion, $5. Aluxabeauty.com.
Have you tried any of these trends? What is your favorite nail trend of the moment?

I really love the Ombre nails. I’ve always disliked the Shatter look.
ps. I nominated you for the Sunshine Award!

I agree, I haven’t felt attracted to shattered nails either.
OMG! Thanks so much! That’s awesome! 🙂
