I just cannot get enough of the cat eye trend. I am really into the 50s lately and I have been in love with cat eye frames for a couple years now. Thankfully, I can now easily find the shape in any store–it has even trickled down to the most affordable retailers.
Cat eye frames are attractive because they instantly make any look more feminine, yet edgy at the same time. Personally, I prefer a slight cat eye since it flatters my face shape (round/oval), plus I’m not a celebrity, so a more extreme, harder frame might be a little too much for me.

I’ve been wanting some for a year or so but NO ONE around here has good style so I always feel like I’ll look like a weirdo! oh well…where can I find some cheap ones?

Be bold!! 🙂 Try Forever 21 or Marshalls. I got some at forever a while back and recently found some Armani Exchange ones at Marshalls for about $20. I also saw some really cute ones at Express today for $30.

I am absolutely going to rock the cat eye sunglasses this summer! I already have a black pair, but I want to pick up these cute lace print ones I saw at Forever 21. Only $5.50 for retro glamour. I love cheap sunglasses because I always seem to destroy them in a summer. Then I don’t feel bad about throwing them around, leaving them in my car, wearing them on my head and shoving them in my bag.

I totally agree! I always break, scratch or lose every single pair of sunglasses I have. I learned my lesson when I bought some designer ones on sale. Not worth it when you’re a little careless like me! 🙂 They are good for inspiration though!

I have the hardest time fitting sunglasses to my face shape 🙁 I don’t think I could ever pull off a cat-eye pair!

Try a slight cat eye with somewhat of a square shape otherwise. They are almost universally flattering! I think you can do it! 🙂
Festival Inspiration | Lush to Blush

[…] This look is very festival, yet there is a sophistication that lingers, which is what Coachella (and Nicole Richie) is all about. Now I don’t usually like flats (I even wear heels to the grocery store) but when you’re walking around and dancing all day, flats are essential for comfort. I went with boots to avoid getting dirty feet. For the top, I chose a simple button down and paired it with a seasonal favorite: floral shorts. The jewelry and fringe bag bring in some tribal notes and the look is topped off with another recent trend: cateye sunnies. […]
