I can’t even begin to tell you the debate this dress has caused. Ok, I’m 100% exaggerating and no one cares about this dress, but there has totally been some discussion (instigated by me) on the color of the dress. It all started when I met with my photographer. We were looking for a spot to shoot and I mentioned that I don’t like yellow, even though I was wearing a yellow dress. He couldn’t believe it. He thought the dress was orange! Wtf!! So anyway, I settled on Marigold. What color do you think it is?
I wore this super cute dress this past weekend in Dallas for Cinco de Mayo. I got tons of compliments the entire day. In fact, someone even asked me if I was a celebrity! Ha! I’ve been told everything is bigger in Texas – and they weren’t wrong if you consider this amazing floral pattern! Bright and equally as classy, this dress kept me feeling feminine and fun at the Rustic in Dallas. I paired it with these festive tassel earrings for just the right amount of flair. I wore my tie up block heels which definitely looked cute, but I kind of wish I just wore flats to be comfy. Oh well. The sacrifices we make, right?!
Keeping with the festive vibes, I wore my white crossbody mini saddle bag with these adorable tassels, and my big round sunnies. I feel like it was the perfect outfit for Cinco de Mayo, but I will definitely be wearing this dress again. It’s so fab for happy hour turned into dinner and drinks and can even be worn for brunch or an outdoor bbq. Basically all the spring and summer activities. Ah, isn’t life just so much better when it’s warm out?!
What’s your perfect spring and summer dress?
