Keep reading for modern & feminine home office ideas!
I am so thrilled to share my new feminine home office space. When I originally decided to purchase my new home, I knew I needed a dedicated home office space. It was one of the top requirements for me since I’ve worked from home for nine years now with no end in sight. The original plan was to use the guest room as an office space and then move the desk out of the way when guests are here–it’s the whole reason we got a murphy bed. But it didn’t take long to realize that home office idea wasn’t working. The murphy bed is better than I could have ever imagined, but having to move a large piece of heavy furniture every time we want to use it is not ideal. So we played around with placement and ended up moving the home office into our entrance space.
We originally had this two-level open room as a sitting area. We had two of these white chairs here and we literally never used the space. It was pretty, but it was a waste of valuable square footage. Now that we moved my desk out of the guest room, the space is used every day. At first, I thought it might be uncomfortable to work in such an open space instead of being closed off, but I actually like it so much better. I now have a view of the neighborhood, don’t feel so closed off and congested, and feel much more inspired to work.
Now let’s get to the details. This gorgeous was one of my first purchases when I moved in. I actually ordered two, but they didn’t match well, so I returned one of them, which worked out since I decided to use this space as my home office. I’ll admit it was a splurge, but one of the best decisions I’ve made decor-wise, without question. I ordered the at the same time planning to use the pieces together. Such an amazing pairing, if I do say so myself! The quality of both pieces is very high and great for the price point.
I knew I wanted a feminine home office, so when it came time for the decor, I went soft and light with white candles, an , and gold accessories. We did leave one of our chairs here and Ryan sits in it often. We also added a to bring the space to life a bit. The final touch was the . I moved this mirror down from my bedroom and it really opened up the space even more than I imagined.
And who would have ever thought I’d get a ?! But I actually love it. The contrast it adds is perfect and it brings the room from an overly feminine home office to a more neutral, modern space. I honestly couldn’t love it any more! One thing I do want to add is a large, beautiful chandelier; I just haven’t found the right one yet, so please share any suggestions!
Oh, and as for the guest room, I’ll be doing a post on that soon, but right now my plan is to make it kind of a zen/yoga room when we don’t have guests. We’ll see!
Do you work from a home office? What feminine home office ideas have you incorporated?

It’s really neat to see how you’ve incorporated elements from other parts of your home into this space. Every room seems to flow together so seamlessly. It’s all very modern, luxurious, and of course BEAUTIFUL!

Ahhh thank you so much, Stephanie! That’s exactly what I envisioned! My main goal was for the house to feel cohesive and really flow together while still letting each room have its own unique flair. Couldn’t be happier!

That’s exactly what I was going for! I feel like it flows perfectly with the rest of the house and doesn’t feel like a traditionally “stiff” office. So perfect!
