New Year, New Look

This year has really had a bigger impact on me than it has in the past. Usually, New Year’s Eve is just an opportunity to dress up in sequins and go party with friends, but this year, things were different. I spent the night at home with my boyfriend having a photo shoot, DIYing and eating Chinese food. It was honestly the best NYE I’ve ever had. We talked about our achievements in 2013 and our goals for 2014 (which I’ll be sharing on Monday!). I feel like I’m actually going to have a fresh start this year and a big part of that is reflected in my new blog aesthetic.
I wanted to have a cleaner look where the photos could really shine without conflicting with the color scheme of the blog. I really love the new look and I hope you do too! I’m always drawn toward neutrals, which is made pretty clear with this new layout. I’m also hoping it will encourage readers to read more posts on the site.
Another change I plan to make in 2014 is more style posts. I enjoy sharing my personal looks and now that I have a photographer I can rely on, I really have no excuse not to post more of my style! I’m also really enjoying decor, recipes and lifestyle topics lately. I’m super excited for 2014 and I know it will be amazing for all of us! 🙂

Hey Megan! I recently stumbled upon your little site, and all I can say is WOW! I’m impressed. For simply starting a little under 2 years ago, it looks like you’ve come a long way. I’d be interested in reading an article on how to grow your online media presence. If you could direct me to one, or would consider writing one in the future, I would be very appreciative! Especially since I’m a mass media arts major myself. Keep up the great work & looking forward to more interesting content from you! 🙂

I absolutely love it, and for the very reasons you mentioned. I like this logic in home decor as well as in dressing up style. When neutrals are your base, you can accessorize with splashes of color and you can change often according to your moods. Looking forward to seeing all you have to share. I am always pleased with all your blogs. Keep on keepin’ on!!! Love ya!

I totally agree! I think it’s important to start with a base of neutrals in all aspects! Thanks for reading. Love you!!

Love your new layout! And that type of New Year’s Eve sounds so much fun! After 4 Christmases & New Years, my boyfriend and I still haven’t been able to spend either holiday together! I hope to this year!
