night skincare routine for sensitive skin, Replenix Green Tea Gentle Soothing Cleanser, The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane, Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

My skincare routine is something that changes with the seasons, with travel, and constantly evolves as I get older and address different skincare concerns. For a long time, I always thought that I really needed to stick with a certain regimen, even if I didn’t see it making much of a difference. I’ve finally given myself the permission to tweak as needed and even switch it up from one night to the next. My current night skincare routine is casual, yet effective.

I am not one of those girls that can get through 5 or 6 steps every single night. I try and I try, but I don’t enjoy it and actually come to dread my nighttime routine when I know I have so much work ahead of me. I’ve decided that my max is 3 and I’m honestly so much happier and my skin looks fine. I will say that since I know my night skincare routine is quick, I try to make time on Sundays to do a mask or two, which I actually do really enjoy.

My Night Skincare Routine

Step 1: Cleanse with Replenix Green Tea Gentle Soothing Cleanser

I love love love this for sensitive skin. My skin tends to skew slightly dry and turns very red if pretty much anything touches it, so finding the right cleanser is not easy for me. This one does the job and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. It’s absolutely perfect for sensitive skin!

Step 2: Apply The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (5 days/week) OR The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane (2 days/week)

I have been blown away by The Ordinary products! For some reason (probably the popularity and branding), I thought this brand was expensive. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The serums I got were and respectively. So shocking, right?! I wouldn’t say that these products perform magic overnight, but I have definitely noticed a difference with continued use. It’s important to remember to refrigerate the retinol though!

Step 3: Moisturize with Youth to the People Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

This might be one of my favorite all time products. Unlike the products in step 2, I literally noticed a difference in my skin after one use! My skin looked smoother, I noticed less discoloration and redness, and reduced breakouts! This is a pricey one in the lineup at $45, but I promise it is so worth it, especially with the savings on the other products in the lineup. If you get one product from this blog post, let it be this one!

This routine is so quick and easy and I find myself completing it without skipping any steps, which is never the case with those longer regimens. Kudos to yall that can stick with it, I’m just not one of those people! Instead of dreading it, I now look forward to my night skincare routine, so I’d say that’s a win!
