For those of us who have pets, showering them with love is one of the best things about being a pet parent. After all, they love you unconditionally, are always there for you, and never complain or ask you for a thing. Personally, I have a maltese and she is the best little friend in the world! And since her birthday is coming up, I decided to share some gift ideas for all of the other proud pet mothers and fathers out there.
1. BFF Dog Jewelry. All dogs should have dog tags with contact info, but there are also charms and beautiful collars available all over the web. My favorite is BFF Dog Jewelry. Some of their collars and charms are even made with Swarovski crystals! I own the “Hamptons White Party” collar along with the BFF platinum charm. Now, every time she jumps up to show her love, I see her little “BFF” heart dangling from her neck. It is a great reminder of how much she means to me!
2. Pet Stairs. If you have a small pet or a large bed, you know how difficult it can be for your furry friend to get up there to cuddle with you. In the past, my dog could easily jump onto my bed, but with age, she has become weaker (or lazier?) and doesn’t jump as high. Pet stairs are the perfect solution.
3. A Luxurious Bed. If you don’t allow your dog to sleep in your bed with you, there are other options that are just as comfortable for your little friend. There are several dog beds that can be found online that won’t clash with your decor. The prices can get high, but your special pet deserves a nice, warm place to sleep!
4. Pet Cakes. When our birthdays roll around, we always get cake (or at least a cake flavored cocktail!), so why not let your pet enjoy the same? Unfortunately, pets cannot digest the same foods we can, but lucky for us there are tons of companies who make cake mix for pets! One of my favorites is Lucky Paws. All of their products are guaranteed to omit salt, sugar, preservatives, wheat, corn and soy. They even sell cute little pans to bake your treats in!
I have to admit, I do spoil my little Adriana. But she totally deserves to live a happy and healthy life! What do you do to pamper your pet?

OMG! We are truly kindred spirits! My dog Basil is my baby! I’m preparing for his 3rd birthday on July 22nd and I’m getting him a luxury bed and some new doggy clothes. LOL! Pets are truly loyal and loving. Great article!

Aw yay! I’m so glad! My baby Adri’s birthday is on August 22nd! I still have some time to get her a gift but I have to start thinking about it now if I want to make sure I have it on time! Lol. She has the same birthday as her godmother (who now has Adri’s son!), so we will definitely make it a big celebration! 🙂
