During my trip to Hawaii, I had a lot of outfits I loved. My white Free People dress was definitely number one, but this look is a close second. If you haven’t noticed already, I love all things high waisted. It is super flattering for my body type and I love looking curvy. Growing up petite, I always felt like I had the body of a child and oftentimes still do; so things like high waisted bottoms, especially paired with crop tops, make me feel more like a woman.
This crop top is actually a thicker material, almost like a sweater, and I love that about it. The color is one I think I’d wear year round and is complemented well by the white pants and nude colored sunglasses. I think those add to the retro look, which is so much fun! I wore my new heels with this look and it was the only time I wore heels on the island. It totally didn’t feel like I was wearing heels though. They were so comfortable and secure that I literally climbed a tree in them – and I have the photos to prove it!
{ top ℅ Fevrie // old pants, similar // swim top ℅ Aerie by AE // sandals ℅ Naturalizer // }
Layered underneath my top, I wore my watermelon bathing suit top so I could get a quick tan at the beach. I feel like all that’s missing from these photos is an ice cream cone. Or maybe a pineapple…
Do you like high waisted bottoms?

Such a soft, romantic look! I love the white pants and that pink cropped sweater! I don’t wear a lot of high-waist bottoms, but it looks great on you!

I’ve never been a high-waited pants fan – since my torso is weird I have to keep the focus somewhere else. But I do love that blushy pink top!

I’m not such a fan of high-waited bottoms if they’re not skirts. They look great on you and other people, but for some reason I always look frumpy in them.

They always make me feel the opposite of frumpy! But one cut can’t be right for all the body types in the world, so I feel ya!
