Playing in the Snow

One of the coolest things about my trip to Breckenridge was the snow. Living in the south, you don’t see it very often and while I don’t think I could handle snow for an entire season, it was cool to experience it for a little while.

There was A LOT of snow. In some places I sunk down so far that it was almost to my knees! Of course the first thing I did was pick it up and throw it. It was so powdery and soft I just couldn’t resist! It was our first day so after taking it easy by the fireplace, I was ready to get out and have some fun! Instead of jumping right in to skiing, I opted to ease my way into the cold by playing first.

In preparation for my trip, I did a little shopping and this entire outfit is brand new. After all, I don’t need to bundle up too often! And I figured this stuff will come in handy for any future ski trips. I got some rain boots to act as snow boots so I could wear them more often and splurged on this pretty cashmere sweater. I added some black Free People denim and this cute little beanie. But there’s definitely one thing I forgot about: gloves. My hands were freezing! Oh well, I still had fun anyway!
