I’ve never been one for bold prints. I do love them every now and then and I really love a good print mixing look, but this is my subtle take on the popular trend. I got these the other day for FIFTEEN DOLLARS. Total score!!! The top is one J.McLaughlin sent me a while back and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I’d ever wear it. But after browsing my closet for a while, I decided I liked it paired with the shorts. I didn’t think it was my style at all, but now that summer has rolled around, I’m liking it a little more.
I love how the two prints go together. They totally complement each other in a fresh and summery way. I paired this look with my new that I love. I always leave a pair of shoes by the door that go with everything, and these flats are definitely that pair. The light pink color is fresh & feminine while the texture is a little exotic & trendy. Such a perfect combo if you ask me!

Those shorts are ADORABLE! I love your mix print choice as being both bold but also not to clashy (sometimes people over-do it with the colours) love this whole outfit!

I think poolside outfits are the perfect place to have fun with prints because the whole setting already feels relaxed and colorful. I once paired a striped cover-up with a floral swimsuit and was surprised by how well the mix worked in photos. Little details like sunglasses, sandals, and a simple tote can keep the look balanced. I was actually reading Fluidra reviews recently while helping a friend compare pool equipment, so this post immediately made me think of summer weekends by the water. Print mixing feels much easier when the colors share one or two similar tones, even if the patterns are completely different.
