This post is brought to you by Miss Me, however opinions are my own.
We all know that plaid is a popular choice for fall outfits, which means it can get overdone and tired – quick. For this reason, I like to incorporate plaid in more subtle ways. I shared a cozy look last week that featured a plaid scarf and now I have another casual fall look to share.
When I first saw these shoes, I knew I had to have them. As a strictly neutral shoe lover, it was out of the ordinary for me to be attracted to anything but black, beige or brown, so I instantly knew that these were something special. The slight pop of plaid is the perfect way to incorporate the fun print in a more subtle way. They’re so subtle, in fact, that I even paired them with this bold printed jacket.

Today was the first time I wore more than two layers this season. It was in the low 60s when I wore this and the 3 layers were perfect in the shade, while I removed the top layer in the sun. The weather was so beautiful, that I just had to sit outside to enjoy it. My Miss Me sweater was the perfect piece to keep me cozy. This was my first time wearing my new Miss Me jeans and omg, they are perfect! I love all things high rise, so I was super excited when I saw these on the Miss Me site. They’re the perfect casual jeans and I definitely see myself wearing these year ’round!
I topped off the look with a hat, my all time favorite accessory in life, for a cozy and casual fall look.
Do you like subtle pops of plaid, or would you rather make a statement with prints?

So pretty, Megan! You’re definitely rocking the plaid, and you look so stinkin’ studious in the last pic with your classes and coat. Miss Me is an awesome brand – love them.

I really wish I lived in a part of the country that actually experienced fall. Not enough plaid in my wardrobe for my liking!

I love plaid but only have a ~collection~ of plaid shirts and nothing else. I really need a plaid scarf and a pair of plaid shoes now! Of course I won’t wear them all together! 😉
