It’s no secret that I love wearing pink, but polka dots? Not usually my thing. But for some reason, I was drawn to this dress (on sale!!). The dots are more detailed than a typical polka dot dress, so maybe that’s why, but I just felt so great in it! The silhouette is so feminine and the flowy material is perfect for summer. When I bought it, my plan was to tie the neck string into a bow because I’m not usually a halter girl. But once again, this dress was an exception!
I wore it with my old alice + olivia heels that are just so great with almost anything, and my amazingly fabulous pink Gucci crossbody I got at a very long layover in Munich. Great way to kill some time, right?! A little shopping tip: always get your designer goods in Europe. They always price it lower over there, plus since it’s another country, you get the taxes paid on it back. In Europe, the tax is always included in the price, so all in all, I ended up saving $100+ on this bag. Major score!
I always love pairing palm print with pink, so I did just that with these earrings. This actually isn’t how they came though. I got them from Asos a while back (remember when I wore them here?!), and they had this pink flower on them. That part got sooooo tangled in my hair when I wore them in the Bahamas, so I never wore them again. Until now. As soon as I put on this dress, the palm earrings came to mind. But I thought the pink piece was too much. So I took it off! I love how they turned out and I think they’re so much cuter now. And I don’t have to worry about my hair getting all tangled and ripped out!
I wore this look to an event in Buckhead where I gave makeovers, talked healthy, clean beauty, and made friends. After the event, I had dinner and drinks with some dear friends. It was a fun night and the perfect outfit for the evening! I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this dress a lot this summer!
What’s your ideal summer dress?
