I’ve never been one to mix prints. I love the concept of mixing things to create a balance, but prints is a whole other world. I love how other people do it, but it’s just not something that I have felt compelled to do myself. That is, until now.

A couple weeks ago, I had the chance to play in Abbey Glass‘s Atlanta showroom. Abbey is a local design here in Atlanta and although her designs are extremely unique, they are also extremely wearable, which is definitely a combination that’s hard to achieve. After trying on tons of clothes that all looked equally amazing, I settled on two skirts as my favorites: this pink striped ombre number and another incredibly beautiful skirt that I plan to post next week.

When I was at the showroom, Abbey asked me how I planned to style the skirt. I had no idea. I never know how I’m going to style something until I’m in my closet. I would have never thought I’d wear it with this floral crop top, but as soon as I saw it in my closet, I got so excited to pair it with the skirt. Then I just decided to run with the print mixing thing and opted for a pair of polka dot wedges. How fun is this look? I totally felt like Carrie Bradshaw when I was wearing it.
