Fall fashion is the best for many reasons, but my favorite has to be the layers. I feel like layers make an outfit so much more interesting (and make it easier to rewear pieces by creating different combinations!). And while it’s not quite cold enough for a collared button down, a sweater and a trench, I’m transitioning by layering a sweater on top of my summer outfits, especially dresses. In fact, I may or may not have bought a couple dresses lately specifically so I could wear them with a sweater on top.
When I originally added the bag to this look, I liked the classic color combo, but I decided to switch it up by adding some merlot tones. I think it’s my favorite color of the season, so why not? Plus I just got these boots and I’ve been dying to wear them. Aren’t they amazing?!
The scarf pulled the look together, but I also really like it without the scarf. Sometimes I feel like I need to add something to make an outfit more complete, but simple really is ok. Which way do you think looks better?
How do you wear layers in early fall?
