I finally got a red bag! I’ve been loving red for a couple months now, but just as accents. I guess I’m kind of easing my way in. To be honest, I used to hate red. I always thought it brought out the redness in my face, which is obviously not flattering at all. But I just somehow got over that and now I want all the red. Red bags, red shoes, red jewelry, red nails, red lips. Perfect timing for Valentine’s Day, huh?!
I had been on the hunt for the perfect red bag for a while. And although I found some really amazing ones, I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $1000 on a bag…again. So I kept an eye on Shopbop on Amazon and this fab bag went on major sale from $400 to $230, so I knew I had to snatch it up! I wore it with solid neutrals for a classic look. My are the ones I got a few months ago that have totally become my favorites for winter.
I got the at H&M the other day for under $20. I love layered sweaters! I don’t know why, because I could easily layer any sweater myself. These are just so easy and clean in my opinion. You get the layered look without the bulkiness. I do usually wear a tank or something thin under to keep warm.
The shoes are kind of the same as the layered sweater. They’re easy, clean, and classic looking. I got these about a year ago, but I found a similar pair . Since I was feeling the red, I painted my nails red so I’d have that little accent with every accent I wore. I added a red lip with my new . It’s the perfect bright, bold red. Love! Finally, I topped it all off with these . I’m actually surprised I had so many things in the same shade of red. I obviously can’e get enough of it!
Are you loving red accents this winter?

I love red, especially now that I dyed my hair, I think red looks amazing with my new colour. And that’s a lovely bag, I haven’t had the courage to get myself a bag that isn’t a neutral colour but I’m definitely thinking about it as there are so many cute ones out there.

Love the way your mules offset those black skinny jeans and button-down! As someone who practically lives in a tucked in button-down and skinnies, mules have become my go-to shoe for a polished and preppy look. Also, mules are super convenient for those of us who go barefoot at home. I can just slip them on my feet as I’m rushing out the front door.

Such a great point! I wear slippers at home and keep my shoes by the front door, so I LOVE slip-ons!!
