Every now and then I’ll go through a red phase. It can be so hard to find the right red for your skin tone, but once you find it, it’s easy to get hooked. I am typically drawn towards red in the winter months, especially when it comes to red lipstick, but I’m finding tropical red more and more enticing lately.
I found this frilly crop top last year for my trip to Spain and instead of wearing the whole set, I paired the (which is on !!!) with some white jeans while at the beach this weekend. It was totally calling for some red lipstick and it just so happened that my friend Stef had hers with her. It was the perfect match! Seriously though, can you believe that?!
This lipstick is actually part of a campaign to urge Congress to pass more health-protective laws for the personal care industry. Anyone can participate by simply texting “BetterBeauty” to 52886. I’m not going to pretend to know all about makeup and all the ingredients that go in there, but I do know that cleaner is better, so I support it!

I agree! Im so glad they are working towards cleaning up the beauty industry! I also have such a love hate relationship with red…………..I feel like it looks great on others but I’m somewhat afraid of wearing red myself!

Bright red looks incredible on you! You seem extra happy when you’re wearing it. Which doesn’t surprise me because red is a serious mood booster!

The Girls’ Night red looks gorgeous on you – especially when paired with the red top.
I had a look at Beauty Counter’s color intense lipstick ingredients – I have to say I’m impressed! There’s no lanolin oil (made from sheep’s glands), beeswax, or carmine (made from crushed bugs) – great for any vegans!
