summer to fall style, september style, atlanta style blogger, western style

Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, everywhere I look, people are jumping for joy for fall. But here in Georgia, it is still very much summertime. I find it particularly hard to style looks during this time of year because fall layers get me super excited and I am just so anxious to wear them. Obviously, though, it’s too hot to do that. So instead, I have been accessorizing with pieces that I will definitely be wearing this fall.

I wore this breezy top with jean shorts to stay cool, but a boho hat and trendy booties to make it more fall friendly. Once fall is in full force, I’ll likely wear this again, but instead of the shorts, I’ll go with skinny jeans and maybe throw on a longline cardigan (I’m obsessed) for some extra warmth.

This look feels so southern to me and while I never thought I’d say this, I love it. I’ve noticed that since I moved to Georgia, my style has definitely evolved to be a little more laid back and relaxed. I think working from home has also played a part in that shift as well. Whatever the cause, I’m diggin it!

How do you transition to fall?
