The second town we visited in Ireland was Galway. This coastal Irish town is on the far west side of the country and has lots of shopping, live local music and (of course) pubs and restaurants.
Instead of staying right in the city of Galway, we opted for an Airbnb out in the country. It was about a 25-minute drive into town and we got to see so many beautiful, lush sights along the way. There are endless farms with tons of sheep and cows as well as several cute little villages. I loved it!
For our day of walking and shopping, I wore a windowpane flannel and my raincoat for the inevitable afternoon drizzle. I kept it comfy in jeans and flat booties and then pulled it all together with these cool gold framed sunnies. My sister and I shopped for hours and scored some great finds. We also got to see some really great street performers (shout out to The Cozy Cartel!) and ate a really great lunch.
Our Airbnb host told us about a pub with live Irish music, so after we ate we decided to grab a couple pints there. The night turned into one I’ll never forget, with tons of new friends, dancing, and maybe too many slices of pizza. Galway was a blast. I can’t wait to visit again!
Have you ever been to Galway?
