Why SK-II Facial Treatment Essence is so Splurge-Worthy

Facial Treatment Essence is one of those products that I hear about and think, “Why?” What exactly is facial essence and what does it do? Is it worth the extra step…and money? Luckily I got the chance to try out SK-II’s Facial Treatment Essence to participate in their #OneBottleAwayFrom journey, and I have to say, I’m a believer. I wanted to join the #OneBottleAwayFrom journey because that’s what my skin care has always been: a journey. I’ve had ups and downs, but my dream is to feel confident enough to go out into the world without any makeup on. When I first shared that I was incorporating it into my routine, the consensus was that this stuff is awesome. I’m so glad to report that after my first bottle, I can agree! I’ve noticed softer, smoother skin, enhanced firmness, more even skin tone, and a more youthful radiance overall.

Radiance is something I feel like I never really understood until I experienced it. I feel like my skin looks more youthful and fresh. The texture refinement and even skin tone were really what sold me to even try SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. I have very sensitive skin, but I’ve pretty much figured out what irritates it and what doesn’t. Unfortunately, I have hyperpigmentation and texture issues from before I figured that out. Now I’m working on correcting that without being too harsh and irritating my skin. That’s another reason why I knew I wanted to try this facial essence: the ingredients. As someone with sensitive skin, I always have to look at the ingredients of skincare products before I try them. I know I’m allergic to polyethylene glycol (PEG), so I definitely avoid that, but when I see a super long ingredients list, I get nervous. There’s most likely something in there that’s going to mess me up. But SK-II Facial Treatment Essence has very few ingredients. It’s actually 90% PiteraÔ, which is an ingredient exclusive to SK-II, so you know this product is unlike any other.

The consistency of the Facial Treatment Essence is like water, which is perhaps why its nickname is “miracle water.” Well, that and because just one bottle completely changes your skin. I have to say, I am so impressed with the results. I have tried countless products–and I’ve even been sent similar products–but nothing compares to SK-II. The back of the bottle says to put it on a cotton pad, which is how I applied it at first. I like applying it with my hands better, so that’s what I’d recommend. SK-II is a luxury beauty brand, and this product is certainly luxurious (and so worth it!). I very rarely splurge on anything, but this is one product that I will be purchasing regularly. I’m so happy to share that I’m finally in the healing phase of my skin care journey, for now at least. I struggled for years and SK-II has brought me so far. I feel like I’m finally able to move forward instead of dwell in the past. Now, I am #OneBottleAwayFrom feeling comfortable going out in public with no makeup on. My skin is far from perfect, but this has been an enormous step for me, and I couldn’t be more thankful for it!
