During my trip to Charleston Fashion Week with Belk, one of our activities was a shopping challenge at Belk. We had to pick out an outfit with a budget of $250 in just 30 minutes. There were also 4 categories our looks had to fit under as well as one of Belk’s “must-have” pieces. It was so much fun and I love what I ended up with!

Today’s look was inspired by that challenge and the “sporty chic” category that I chose for the challenge. I got this bright neon Trina Turk tank and some soft Free People pants (not pictured here). Yes, Belk carries Free People and Trina Turk! The whole outfit was based around these French Connection heels. See the running theme here? All amazingly incredible brands that I has no idea were available at Belk. New favorite store anyone?

In addition to that discovery, I also found this activewear brand where I got the leggings. It’s called Svelte and I was immediately drawn to these faux leather panel leggings. Any chance I can get to wear comfortable clothes in public, I’m game. I think I did a pretty good job of making these leggings publicly acceptable.

Finally, I added the Taxidermy bag for a fun print and texture. I actually ran into the creator of the brand while in Charleston. I saw her with like 20 of these awesome bags and totally bombarded her with excitement. Oh, and I though the bright lip gave this sporty active look the little girly touch of glam that it needed. Overall, I loved this sporty look, even though I’m the furthest thing from that! But sometimes that’s what’s the most fun when it comes to dressing up.

What’s your go-to sporty style look?
