Is it spring yet?! While it is certainly warming up in Atlanta, I don’t think it’s quite here yet. Although I am very happy with the first step of the time change! I’m a person who absolutely needs the sun and warm weather in my life. It’s one of the many reasons why I’m constantly traveling and why I’ve never lived further north than Atlanta, which already has unbearable winters. So when it’s cold, I’m always down to escape to a tropical climate. And that’s exactly what I did this past weekend.
I was working on a fun project for a brand that called for a tropical setting. My initial plan was to shoot by a pool, but of course, all the pools here in Atlanta are closed (Yes, pools close. Never heard of that before moving up here. Anyway…) and the temp leading up to my deadline was hovering around 30 degrees. UGH. So when my sister had the idea to visit family in Alabama for the weekend, I thought of the genius plan to make the quick trip right down to 30A. And obviously I’m so glad I did!
It actually worked out perfectly because I had some friends going down there that weekend too, so we were all able to hang out in the sun, shop, grab drinks, and just get away for a quick weekend! And guess what, this was actually my first time to 30A! 30A is a state road in the Florida panhandle and there are a bunch of super cute beach towns all along the scenic route. My favorite was Alys Beach, where I shot these photos. Everything there is white and it’s pure heaven. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw a sneak peek of another outfit I shot there and I felt like a princess straight out of Westeros. Can’t wait to share more!
