Now that fall has officially arrived in the south, I’ve been left scrambling for warm clothes and cute fall outfits due to my fall and winter clothes being locked away in storage. Since I haven’t had a chance to go grab them yet, I’ve had to get creative.
Yay! It’s my birthday!! Well, I’m writing this on my birthday, December 12, so by the time you’re reading this, my bday will be over. But let’s just extend it, right?! I’m the type of person who celebrates the whole month as my birthday. I seriously LOVE it. You might remember that last year all my girls and I went to Turks & Caicos, which was beyond amazing! This year, I took things a little easier and just stayed in Atlanta, but it was still an absolutely perfect birthday!
Alright, it’s November now so I guess it’s time to officially embrace fall, right?! The weather here has been so up and down lately, that embracing fall isn’t totally easy. But since it was chilly one day last week, I busted out the jackets, coats, and fall/winter accessories and sported a couple of them right away. Remember when everyone was wearing this hat last year?
One of my favorite combinations for transitional fall weather is shorts and over the knee boots. That’s one of the biggest reasons I was so excited to go to Scotland in September – I got a little preview of fall! I’m definitely a summer girl at heart, but I do love fall and getting cozy too! Especially when it’s just for a short time!
One of the stops on my Scottish road trip was Edinburgh, the capital and arguably the most well-known city in Scotland. I had heard so many great things about Edinburgh, so it was at the top of my list for Scotland. Not only have many of my friends been and love Edinburgh, but it’s also where J.K. Rowling wrote a lot of her Harry Potter series over twenty years ago. There’s lots of history and culture there, which is something I always look for in the places I travel to.
