As we all know, hydrating in the summer is key. But in addition to drinking lots of water, it’s important to use beauty products that moisturize and hydrate. For the past year or so, I’ve been super focused on hydrating my skin. I discovered that the more water I drank and the more hydrating moisturizer I used, the clearer and more radiant my skin became. Here’s how I keep my skin hydrated:
First of all, and most importantly, I make sure to drink lots of water every day. It’s a little wasteful, but I find that buying bottled water makes me drink it more often (I promise I recycle the bottles!). No matter if I’m thirsty or not, I’ll drink water every time I think about it.
Secondly, I started using facial essence. It’s a water-like liquid that you pat on your face after cleansing. When I first heard about facial essence, I wasn’t sure what to think. But after trying it, I have to say, I’m convinced. It’s a great product to use – especially for hydrating! I’ll be sure to share another post about facial essence, because I feel like there’s so much more that I could say.
Finally, I discovered the perfect moisturizer: Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. Not only does this moisturizer hydrate, but it’s also anti-aging, which is another focus I’ve had in my beauty routine lately. I’m not to the point where I have wrinkles quite yet, but that’s exactly why I started using anti-aging products: it’s time to start preventing wrinkles! I’ve already noticed that Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream seems to plump my skin a little, removing any fine lines I do have.
As a blogger, I try products of all different prices, but I’ve found that this Olay moisturizer seems just as luxurious as creams that are ten times as expensive (it’s under $30!!!). The consistency of this moisturizer is almost like a body butter and one thing that stands out to me is the scent – it smells so good! And it actually works. In fact, Good Housekeeping Institute’s Beauty Lab conducted clinical and blinded consumer studies and Olay moisturized 400% better than a cream nearly 18 times its price and beat all other products tested, so I’m not the only one who thinks so! Olay does such a great job of perfectly combining ingredients that are effective, yet not too harsh. I have sensitive skin, so I always have to look at ingredients before even touching a product. The key ingredients here include Carob Seed Extract, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), which boosts cell turnover and maintains skin’s moisture barrier, and Olivem, a derivative of olive oil which has been modified to increase the penetration of anti-aging ingredients into the skin.
I have had zero breakouts from Olay Regenerist, and I can’t say that about a lot of beauty products. When I find something that works for me and doesn’t irritate my skin, I stick to it for life. I honestly can’t recommend this moisturizer enough, especially for sensitive skin like mine.
How do you keep your skin hydrated?

Thank you so much for your tips and tricks! I’m huge on face products and recently switched over from Korean face products to Josie Maran. I’ve been wanting lotions with less toxins. I’m still trying to figure out if I love it or not.
