Hallelujia, it’s finally warm again! I am without a doubt a warm weather girl, so I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. I just love feeling the warm sun on my skin and wearing shorts, and getting tan, and ahh! Just everything about the summer! But spring is here and summer is coming so I couldn’t be happier.
I’m sure you also noticed the reference in the title. Season 8 of Game of Thrones premiered last night so I am totally in GoT mode. Next week can’t come soon enough! Anyway, on to the post. Celebrity Cruises was kind enough to invite me on a media preview of the Celebrity Summit and while I definitely discovered I am not a cruise person, I still had a great time and can totally see the draw of cruises. It’s so easy to just book a cruise and not have to worry about the specifics of anything else. It was nice to get settled in our room and have a nice home base for the duration of the cruise. We sailed in and out of Puerto Rico, which was a whole other trip itself, so all in all, it was a great experience!
One of the dresses I brought to wear on the cruise was this gorgeous green floral maxi. The material is silk, so it’s very light and flowy. It feels nice on and the quality is awesome. I’m not usually a bow and ruffles kind of girl, but this one is the exception. I think what stood out to me was the slit – homegirl likes to show some leg, ya feel me? And the vibrant emerald green feels very elegant, which just adds to the overall vacation chic vibes.
I styled it with my lace-up gold sandals that I got years ago and these perfect summer wooden earrings. I literally wore these earrings the entire cruise and they went with everything. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect pair for spring and summer! This was the perfect look for a couple cocktails on the roof followed by dinner.
Have you ever been on a cruise?
