Is there anything better than a Sunday Funday with your favorite people?! I love having people over at my place for a laid-back time talking work, life, and everything in between. So when I had the opportunity to partner with a brand for just that, I jumped at it. I was contacted by Fundamental Beverages a few months ago and they told me about their coffee drink that has 5% alcohol. Yes, they found a way to combine the two best drinks ever, and called it Newground. The first step to the partnership was of course for me to try it. I was skeptical since it sounds too good to be true. But yall, it’s not. Newground coffee alcohol is real and it is delicious.

Since I knew I had to spread the word on it, I came up with the idea to host a brunch at my place to share this amazing new discovery with my friends (and of course document it here!). It was a huge hit. We all couldn’t get enough. There are two flavors: cafe latte and chai latte. My personal favorite is the cafe latte, but the chai is so good too. The cans are 6oz and come in a four-pack, so basically one of them is like drinking half a beer. It’s made with malt liquor and you can literally not taste any alcohol at all. Also, they’re nitro cans, so they make a super cool sound when being opened! They’re not fizzy at all though, just delicious! They’re pretty sweet, but not overly so. No one had a problem drinking 4 or 5 in a row. In fact, we went through quite a few 4-packs!

The brunch did center around the drinks, but I also wanted to have some light bites, so I decided to go with a grazing table spread. This was the first time I ever did anything like this, so I wasn’t really sure what I was doing, but I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. I’m planning on sharing a hosting post with tips on creating a beautiful spread as well as arranging flowers–all on a budget–so stay tuned for that!

It was a great Sunday, full of yummy treats (shout out to Sugar Spun Fun for the gorgeous baked goods!), great drinks, and lots of supportive friends. When I have get-togethers like these, I’m really reminded of how true certain friends are and how much I truly appreciate having them in my corner.
