Thanksgiving, thankful, atlanta blogger, southern blogger

Happy Thanksgiving! Obligatory thankful post ahead. Nah tbh, I really like taking the opportunity to reflect on my life and think about what I’m thankful for. It’s so easy to get dragged down by what goes wrong, the mundane everyday, or unreached goals. I’m at the point in my life where people are constantly evaluating where they are compared to other people. It’s so easy to look at your friend who just got engaged or your cousin who just had a baby or that (younger) coworker who just got the promotion you were gunning for. But the truth is, we all have struggles. And we all have a lot to be thankful for. Personally, my list is as follows:

Family
Nothing could ever come before this on my list. I’ve always loved my family, but I’ve come to appreciate them more and more as the years go by. Each and every person in my family means the world to me and plays their own very special role in my life. They are all paramount in my life and although they aren’t all still with me today, their impact on me will remain forever.

You!
Being able to do what I love every single day is something I never thought would be a reality. I kind of just fell into blogging full time, but it has been the most amazing experience of my life. I’ve been able to (finally!!) travel the world, share my style and opinions, and connect with people from everywhere. And it’s all thanks to YOU – the lovely people who engage in this conversation I call Lush to Blush. Thank you for participating in this little corner of the internet – I love every second of it!

Friends
Friends are the family we choose. I know it’s cliche af but as I’ve gotten older, friends have become fewer, but more special to me. There are some people in this world who we are meant to meet. The friends that love me, support me, listen to my endless complaining and most importantly, laugh at my jokes, keep me going every day. Some things or people come and go in life. They all serve their purpose, but to those who have stuck with me: thank you and I love you to no end!

What are you thankful for?
