We’ve all heard it before: brows shape the face. It’s such an important part of any beauty routine, but with other problems like blemishes, wrinkles, or sun spots, brows can be easily overlooked. I know I only get my brows waxed about twice per year when I get my hair cut. I understand the importance of nice brows, but to be honest, $15/mo. to get a painful wax (and embarrassing since I turn super red) once a month is just not something I put as a priority. Not to mention driving all the way to the salon, waiting, and then driving home takes way too much time out of my day.
So I was excited when I discovered something that had been right in front of me the whole time: bleaching. Friends and family of mine have been bleaching their ‘staches, sideburns, and other unsightly hairs for years, but I never thought of putting it on my brows until recently. I already don’t like getting the top of my brows waxed because it looks so obvious that there’s a huge patch of hair missing when I put my makeup on, so bleaching really is the perfect solution!
Using Jolen creme bleach (available at ) is super simple and very easy. Simply mix the formula together following the instructions & apply with a q-tip. Leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, wipe clean & you’re good to go!
Another important step to perfect brows is to always fill them in. No matter how bold your brows are, you should always add at least a little something to help even them out. I suggest either or . I use and love both! Finally, go over them with a brow comb to set them. Some people use serums or gels to hold their brows in place, but that stuff makes me itchy, so I don’t use it personally.
And that’s it! Now you have perfect brows.
What brow grooming techniques do you suggest?

I wish I could go that long without getting mine waxed or threaded, but mine seriously grow so fast and so crazy. I’m not sure why I am so hairy, lol! Plus- I am currently having to wait and suffer it out because mine look uneven thanks to a quick thread I thought I needed. >:( So frustrating! Yours look great! What part of yours do you bleach?

Thank you! I really shouldn’t wait as long as I do, haha. I bleached around the entire brow on the “after” side 🙂
