The Power of the Dark Side

Sorry, I had to do it. Those of you who got the reference in the title, I love you. Anyway, I have a bit of a confession: I’m a nonconformist. I sometimes do the opposite of what is popular just because I want to be different. I hate blending in. So when summer comes around, I dye my hair dark instead of light like everyone else. Come on, join me on the dark side.
A few years ago, I got balayage highlights. It was one of the first times I dyed my hair and it was fun for a while. Ever since I cut 11 inches off a few years ago, I’ve been slightly more adventurous with my hair. But unfortunately, the highlights totally damaged it. So after I got back from Thailand, I cut off all the dead ends and got a dark glaze.
To solidify the silky, healthy effects of my fresh haircut and darker color, I got a new round of shampoo and conditioner: . As I’ve shared before, one of my biggest hair tips is to regularly switch out your shampoo and conditioner. I never use the same line two times in a row; I feel like the effects fade when I do. So since I’m working on repairing the damage from the summer sun and ocean salt, seemed perfect. And it has been!
The line is actually infused with Red Algae + Keratin NutriComplex and repairs the internal structure of damaged hair, reconstructing and strengthening it – and it shows. But aside from looking healthier, I noticed my hair feels much healthier after using the shampoo and conditioner. It’s tangle free and feels super thick, strong and smooth. What else could a girl want for her hair?
