I just recently became aware of the sock bun trend. For those of you who don’t know, you cut off the toe part of the sock, roll it up, and use it as a tool to create a big, pretty bun (think the Carrie Bradshaw bun). I have seen images and read step by step tutorials, but it always just seemed too complicated; I never thought I’d be able to do it myself. But when I woke up today, my hair was frizzy, a little too greasy to wear down, and just plain ugly, so I was inspired to finally give it a go. I did a quick little search and came across this video:

It looked easy enough. I figured I might as well try it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any dark colored socks, so I went with a white one. Luckily my hair is long enough and thick enough that it wasn’t a problem. Here’ how it turned out:

I love it! This was on my first try. It was so simple and ended up looking just how I wanted it to. What do you think? Have you ever tried the sock bun method?
