Stay: The Seminyak Beach Resort & Spa – beachfront luxury, infinity pool, and the dreamiest sunset views
Start your itinerary in Bali with a few indulgent days in Seminyak. This area is vibrant, stylish, and super walkable—perfect for easing into island life. The Seminyak Beach Resort was the ultimate welcome: think ocean breezes, tropical gardens, and a stunning spa right on site. You can totally feel the White Lotus Season 3 vibes here—tropical glam with a hint of drama (minus the murder, hopefully).
Things to Do:
- Book a signature massage or facial at the Kahyangan Spa at the resort—it’s the perfect jet lag cure
- Stroll along the beach and hit up iconic beach clubs like Potato Head (and don’t miss dinner at the dreamy Dome Restaurant while you’re there!)
- Go boutique shopping along Jalan Kayu Aya and Jalan Petitenget—there are so many gorgeous local brands
- Stop by Bernadette for delicious traditional Indonesian food in a beautifully styled space
- Head to Motel Mexicola for a wild night out (even if you don’t normally go out-out, it’s worth it for the energy alone!)
- Catch golden hour with cocktails at The Legian’s happy hour—so chic and such a vibe
-
Stay: Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa – tucked away just off the main street, but it feels like a peaceful jungle sanctuary
After the buzz of Seminyak, it’s time to ground yourself in the lush, spiritual heart of Bali. Ubud is surrounded by rice fields, waterfalls, temples, and a deep sense of calm. Staying at Plataran felt like being wrapped in a warm hug—it’s tranquil, beautifully designed, and walking distance to shops and restaurants (while still feeling totally removed from the chaos).
Things to Do:
- Start your day with a walk through the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, or take a full-day trip to the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces—a UNESCO World Heritage site that’s even more expansive and peaceful
- Cool off at Taman Beji Griya Waterfall, where you can experience a traditional water purification ceremony (a spiritual reset like no other)
- Wander through the Ubud Art Market and pick up locally made textiles, wood carvings, and beaded accessories
- Visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary—cheeky monkeys, ancient trees, and jungle temple vibes
- Indulge in a signature treatment at Padma Spa at Plataran (highly recommend the Balinese massage + flower bath combo!)
- Learn how to make traditional Jamu or take a hands-on Balinese cooking class with a local chef
- Sip a sunset cocktail at Copper Kitchen & Bar or treat yourself to a riverside dinner at Bridges Bali
Ubud makes a great home base for day trips. Its central location means you can easily venture out to waterfalls, temples, and even the coast without constantly packing up and moving around. One spot I was dying to visit (but didn’t make it this time) was Horse Bali. It’s a luxury horse-riding experience through rice fields and along rivers—definitely on my list for next time!
-
Stay: Hotel Sages – adults-only, design-forward, and tucked away in peaceful Padonan for those in-the-know vibes
Next up in your Bali Indonesia travel itinerary: Canggu. It’s trendy, full of great food, and just the right amount of chaotic. Canggu is where Bali’s boho-surf scene meets café culture, boutique shopping, and wellness energy. It’s creative, a little chaotic in the best way, and full of hidden gems around every corner. Hotel Sages was such a highlight—stylish, serene, and full of intentional details. I loved winding down with a treatment at their on-site spa (10/10 recommend!) before slipping into a linen robe and lounging by the pool.
Things to Do:
- Get your café fix—Canggu is heaven for health food lovers
- Stretch it out with a yoga class at The Practice or Samadi
- Pop into Love Canggu for fashion-forward local brands, swimwear, and handmade jewelry
- If you love a good designer dupe, Canggu has some seriously good fakes—think handbags, sunglasses, sandals, and more. Protip: always negotiate. Start at 50–60% of the asking price and go from there
- End your day at The Lawn or La Brisa for beachy cocktails, live music, and sunset views
-
Stay: Nisi Villas – modern design meets barefoot luxury in a prime location close to the best beaches and restaurants
No 10 days in Bali itinerary is complete without a trip to Uluwatu. Uluwatu is the grand finale of your Bali adventure—where rugged cliffs meet rolling waves and the sunsets feel like a spiritual experience. Staying at Nisi Villas was such a great call. The location is so much better than being tucked away inland, and the villas themselves are beautifully styled, peaceful, and close to everything you’ll want to explore.
Things to Do:
- Take a surf lesson or just watch the pros at Padang Padang or Bingin Beach—some of the best surf spots on the island
- Visit the iconic Uluwatu Temple, perched dramatically on the cliffs (come for golden hour and stay for the view)
- Experience the Kecak Fire Dance at sunset—goosebumps guaranteed
- Treat yourself to a glow-up at Aesthetica Uluwatu—their facials are amazing, and yes, they also offer Botox if you’re due
- Book a table at El Kabron for sunset drinks and Spanish-inspired bites with panoramic ocean views
- Head to Bench Brewing Company for local craft beers, laid-back vibes, and a break from the beach club scene
- If you want one last indulgent beach day, check out Sundays Beach Club—you’ll take a glass elevator down the cliff to a private cove with crystal-clear water and all the amenities
Every time I go to Bali, I leave feeling a little more connected to nature, to culture, and honestly, to myself. If this is your first visit, I hope this guide helps you skip the overwhelm and go straight to the magic. From the energy of Seminyak and the soul of Ubud to the cool creativity of Canggu and the wild beauty of Uluwatu, each stop brings something totally unique.
This island truly has it all—stunning nature, vibrant culture, nourishing food, and the kind of beauty that stays with you. I hope this 10-day Bali itinerary helps you plan the trip of your dreams. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, Bali has a way of welcoming you back to yourself.
