In the past, L2B has highlighted a few different retailers for Thursday Purseday, but today I wanted to focus on resellers. There are several websites that claim to sell authentic designer items, however only a handful can be trusted. Two of my favorite, legitimate, online shopping destinations are Bag Borrow or Steal Private Sale and Yoogi’s Closet.
Both of these online stores only accept the best of the best for consignment (I should know; they wouldn’t accept my fairly used Gucci Abbey Medium Hobo) and all items are guaranteed authentic. Each company has their own in-house experts that inspect and certify each and every item that they sell. And if you’re still not convinced, returns are accepted up to 30 days after you receive your item in the mail.
Brand new designer goods are amazing, perfect and gorgeous, but are they really practical? This is the approach many consignment shops take to resell couture accessories. Regardless of age, a designer bag is a designer bag and the value does not decrease much if taken care of. In fact, many socialites and fashionistas prefer the worn look. Who has to know it wasn’t you that broke it in?
Would you buy a pre-loved designer bag or do you need something new? Or are designer bags just too expensive and impractical for your taste?

Great post ^^ I think that some bags look better Vintage Style and some will never become out-dated and will forever be timeless classics. Vintage Hermes and Chanel bags are lovely.

I personally LOVE Louis Vuitton. They can look better as they are worn in. I have a damier with brown handles that doesn’t fade at all though. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

I cant imagine spending a truck load on designer bags. My Michael Kors Delancey is my most expensive and the only reason I got it is because I got to use my 50% off employee discount while I worked there. If it werent for that, I would have never gotten it!

I might have just fallen in love with this:

I think the gentle wearing has made it even more unique and timeless.

I’ll admit I just spent an arm and a leg on a brand new Chloe bag, but only because I have yet to come across a gently used one I love! I think I’ll need to start scouring these websites.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.

Well I started my blog in the beginning of March, I have 21 different entries already. How soon do you think the web crawler will pickup my blog and index it into the search engines ?.
