There’s something to be said about a brand that can stay at the top of its industry for 65+ years. I love being loyal to brands that actually work, especially in the beauty space. As a blogger, I am constantly receiving countless beauty products to try and time and time again, I go back to my favorites. For my moisturizer, that’s Olay. I’ve been using Olay moisturizer since college and as I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown with Olay’s product line.
My current favorite is the Olay Whips Luminous with SPF 25. I know you’ve seen me post about it before if you’ve been following for any amount of time. The lightweight texture of the lotion is so refreshing for summer and the scent is divine. My favorite part of Olay Whips SPF 25 though is right in the name: the SPF. As someone who recently hit 30, SPF is an absolute must in my everyday routine, whether it’s summer or not. And now that I’ve been undergoing a skin transformation (including microneedling and facials), SPF is more important than ever.
A couple weeks ago, I spent some time at my best friend’s lake house up in Michigan. As y’all know, I’m in the sun as much as possible, but during these warm-weather getaways, I have to find the right balance between minimal-effort beauty and adequate protection. Enter Olay Whips SPF 25. During my time at the lake, I used it almost exclusively, though I admit I did put some on makeup for our outings. I love it because it’s not heavy and greasy feeling like most SPFs, so I actually enjoyed putting it on. Since I was outside most of the day, I just made sure to reapply every 2 hours I was in the sun. My skin never felt tight and dry the whole time I was there, which is typically what happens when I spend so much time laying out!
My friend’s lake house in Michigan was built and decorated decades ago, so I felt transported in time as I was going through my beauty routine each morning and night. It really got me thinking about the quality of products I use because if I was around back in the 1950s, I would still have been using Olay. That’s pretty wild to think about!
Do you use a moisturizer with SPF in the summer?
