One of my pet peeves is having the same things and looking like everyone else. I love unique and customized things, which is why I think I like styling so much. I love being able to make something look totally different on me, even if it’s something that lots other people may have. I can show my individuality by pairing it with something odd or dressing it up with jewels. Sometimes I’ll even DIY a little and make something look totally different than it did in the store. I think I gave a good twist on my common items with this look.

The shirt, however, is a custom piece. One of my dear friends, Ashley Victoria Cortes (I’ll include her whole name here as a reference for when she becomes a famous designer), was my roomie in college and we always shared a passion for fashion and styling. One semester, she took a silk screening class. Silk screen printing is what Andy Warhol used to create his iconic pop culture artwork. This shirt was one of the results of her creativity and talent. I love it and wear it all the time! I love the tribal design paired with white skinnies and the rockstud heels. Isn’t this shirt just awesome?!

Have a great weekend everyone!
