My TV Show Addiction

Anyone who knows me know that I love to watch my shows–you know, the ones where if you talk to me while it’s on I’ll be mad at you for like a week (ok, not really. But seriously. Wait until a commercial at least.) It’s one of the ways I unwind after a ong work day. I sit on my couch with some popcorn & a glass of wine and get my Olivia Pope on. I get really into shows and invested in the characters and the story line. This goes for both scripted and reality shows because I love and watch both religiously. So when I found out about the online community, Beamly, where viewers can discuss their favorite shows, I was totally on board!

Having a favorite show without having anyone to discuss it with can be so disappointing. As sad as it may be, I oftentimes find myself perusing random online forums just to see if other viewers think the same things I do. I read a theory about the mother in HIMYM in like season 3 that ended up being true – I love that! So when I found out about Beamly, an online community based around TV shows, I was hooked. Now I can chat with fellow fans about Don’s antics on Mad Men, Mindy’s love life and guaranteed drama on The Mindy Project, and crazy Aviva on Real Housewives of New York (#RHONY). I’m sure my sister will be glad not to receive my texts about shows she’s never even seen now that I can chat with fellow viewers on Beamly!
