Yesterday was the most beautiful day we’ve had this year in Atlanta. It was 84 degrees and while some might think that’s hot, it’s perfect to me. I had plans to go to lunch at Antico (the most amazing pizza place ever!) with Johnny, his sister and his cousin, but sadly, I had to miss it to finish up some design work. I finally got to a good stopping point around 5 so I decided to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors.
I just got this shirt and was struggling with how to wear it. It’s a great spring top, but at 84 degrees, there’s no way I could pair it with pants or even a midi skirt. I tried to pair it with some floral shorts, but it felt a little too frilly and girly, especially with the neck bow tied. Then it hit me: I can totally dress this down with some casual denim cutoffs. It looked better than I expected and I decided to just leave the bow untied; it just felt more me. I finished the look with these adorable scalloped flats and my Taxidermy crossbody that goes with almost everything in the world.

I threw my hair up in a pony and I was ready for my errands with Johnny. We ended up in Buckhead so we decided to go to True Food Kitchen. If you’ve never been there, you have to make it a point to go if you ever have the chance! I can’t get enough of the kale salad & quinoa burger. So yummy! And the drinks are just as amazing. Anyway, we had a fabulous time eating outdoors (my fave!) and I look forward to more beautiful spring days.
How would you style a bow blouse for spring?
