Many people might not know this, but I have naturally curly (aka frizzy) hair. I straighten or curl my hair to try to get it to cooperate and have tried almost every product out there to tame the frizz. When I go au naturel, I always use John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Dream Curls Perfecting Spray. It is the only thing I need and it keeps my hair light, airy and frizz free – perfect!
But when it comes time to straighten or create easy waves, I’m at a loss for what product to use. That is until I heard of John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray! Since I was already a fan of the John Frieda Frizz Ease line, I was excited to try this new product. I decided to try it out on a wavy style to reduce frizz. Here’s how I create loose waves:
First, spritz your wet to damp hair with John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray and blow dry as normal.
Once your hair is dry, separate it into sections, starting at the bottom.
Take a one inch piece of hair (I separate each piece vertically in each section and use a flat iron to hold the hair & twist it away from your face one full rotation. Then while the hair is wrapped around the barrel, pull it from your roots to your ends.
As soon as the hair is curled, quickly twist it with your finger to lock in the curl.
Continue through the rest of your hair and you’re done!
I like to call this look the “Glamorous Loose Wave” because it is pretty and casual, but with an extra hint of glamour.
I’d also like to share that Frizz Ease® is challenging us to wear our hair #downfor30 days (or as many as you can). I’ve got natural waves too, but really long hair so (wet) the waves are almost pulled straight, but (dry) they look nice as long as I don’t brush them out as then my hair looks like a ‘lion’s mane’ I always complain…you’ve convinced me to at least try the John Freida products, namely the ‘Frizz Ease’! Oh, and my beautiful curl trick is a whole head of hot rollers and VOILA I have a hairdo that is very beautifully curly for the first day/two, and then a voluminous head of hair until my next shampoo! Thank again Megan…btw, I’m a newbie to your blog, so lookin forward to more tips and posts! 🙂

I too, have frizzy hair, mine is thick and frizzy, and my daughter’s is thin and a tad bit frizzy. She straightens maybe once a week. I don’t know what product she uses. I’ve never heard of twisting it at the end ~ what a great idea, I’m going to share this with my daughter and we’re going to try this next time.

Yay! Let me know how it works for you. My hair is semi thick, so I can relate. I think you and your daughter will love the 3 day straight!
