Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve shared an outfit post! I love getting creative with my outfits and dressing to reflect my mood of the day, but with the lack of traveling (my favorite occasion to play with outfits!) and basically not being able to go anywhere–ever–it’s hard to get inspired to get dressed up. That said, while I am getting dressed up less often, it makes it a little more special when I actually do. I also decided to switch it up with my beauty and straighten my hair for the first time in months. I can’t believe how long it’s gotten!

I’ve definitely been shopping a lot less these days, but I got these in recently and fell in love. I’ve planned every single outfit around them since and I just can’t get enough. They’re great for spring, summer, and fall so I certainly intend to wear them a lot moving forward! The toe shape is so unlike anything else in my closet. I love how slender it is, yet the slight square shape at the end makes them so unique.

I wore them here with my new Shabby Chic boho dress. I felt like a rancher’s daughter in the old west (channeling my inner Delores) ready for a day in the fields. The lace with the dot detailing is so delicate and the ruffles add even more of a feminine feeling. Overall, it’s a perfect balance of old-world modesty and modern free spirit with the deep v and slit in the front. I’ll be honest, this dress did come with a slip, but I opted against it. I tend to lean more towards the free spirit side of the spectrum if you haven’t noticed.

Ryan and I took these photos during a fun weekend day in Grant Park. We’re very limited on what we can do right now, but going to the park and maintaining a safe distance is acceptable, and to be quite honest, one of the few things keeping me sane right now. I know it’s important for us to stay safe and healthy, but it’s in my nature to wander, so being at home 24/7 is not going over well. Gotta stay positive though. We can do this!

How often are you getting dressed up right now?
