I’m so excited to finally share everything about the Airbnb I stayed at in Havana! When I was planning the trip, I knew I wanted to stay in an Airbnb. I always say that it’s the most authentic way to experience a place and while Cuba does have some unique options that might be a little more authentic (ie the casa particulars), I knew the security of Airbnb is what I wanted for my first visit to the country, so I began my search. I had narrowed down the areas in which I wanted to stay to two: Habana Vieja and Vedado. I was open to either, so I decided to just look at Airbnb to help me decide.

After reading lots of blogs and doing my research, I came to the conclusion that I would not be staying in a luxurious apartment in Havana. I was completely wrong. When I came across this gorgeous white space, I knew I had found my dream spot. It worked out perfectly because the location ended up being ideal. It was walking distance to everything and right in the middle of the action, yet somehow quiet and peaceful at night.

The beautiful views of the ocean were breathtaking and the terrace upstairs was absolutely divine. Our Habana Vieja Airbnb was right across from where the cruise ships dock, so there is a lot to do in the area – including a great selection of classic cars to rent (or just take a photo in). If you’re looking for classic cars in Havana, you will find the widest selection in Habana Vieja. Though some places in Habana Vieja can be a little touristy, it only takes about a 10-minute walk to get deeper into the city.

We explored other areas while we were in Havana, but I definitely recommend staying in Habana Vieja, as well as the particular Airbnb we stayed in. Everything was beyond exceptional and I can’t wait to visit again!
