My favorite place to hang out in Split, Croatia was the promenade. There are several shops and restaurants all along the water where you can enjoy the gorgeous views and weather and eat some delicious food. And the food in Croatia is amazing. My favorite thing I had there were the potatoes. So buttery and garlicy.

Anyway, back to the clothes. When I looked at photos of Split, I knew I had to bring the blue and white maxi with me. You may remember it from Cuba (before I got my new camera!), but I think the backdrop here is much better for the dress. It’s so feminine and flattering. I love the off the shoulder look with these sleeves, but they’re even better than the typical OTS because I don’t feel like my arms have to be constantly pinned to my sides – I can actually raise my arms! Woohoo!

I wore them with my simple gold lace up sandals, which obviously go with pretty much anything. I might have been a little dressed up, but I totally felt like I fit in with the ancient royal vibes of the castle (or palace, whatever), which is also right on the promenade. Man, can I just go back already?!
