Don’t you just feel so cool when you wear a leather jacket? It seriously makes me just feel like a badass. I feel like that comes from growing up watching Grease all the time and the T-birds had cool leather jackets, haha! I got this wine colored jacket (it’s sold out in this color, but I linked it in black and grey) when Nordstrom had that big sale and I absolutely love it. I have a hard time finding jackets that fit me. I have really narrow shoulders so most jackets make me look like I’m either wearing shoulder pads or a little kid playing dress up in my mom’s closet. Not a good look either way. So if you’re petite, this jacket would totally work for you. If you’re not, it might be a good idea to size up as it runs a little small.
I paired this jacket with my new faux leather leggings from…drumroll please…Spanx! Amazing, right?! I love that Spanx makes clothes. I don’t really wear them under my clothes (would love to, just never bought any!), but they sent me these and an “arm tights” crop top and I love them both. The founder of Spanx, Sarah Blakely, went to the same college as me (Go Noles!) and Spanx is headquartered here in Atlanta, so I totally love supporting a brand like hers!
You can’t tell here, but my sweater actually has bell sleeves. Guys, I just can’t stay away from the bell sleeves – they’re too cute! I went with some burgundy booties to match the jacket and kept simple, yet edgy with this cool Rebecca Minkoff bag (mine is old, but here’s the new version). And of course, I had to wear my Ray-bans. This is always the pair I reach for when I’m going for a casual-cool vibe. I love how they looked with this ensemble!
How do you style your leather jackets?
