A Winter Day with Kookopa

Well I guess the holiday break is officially over, huh? That first Monday back at work was a tough one. I’ve actually been feeling sick lately so I think that made it extra hard for me. I slept more than I’m willing to admit. Though the break is over, I’m sharing a look back at what I wore last week for a day of shopping, lunch, and strolling through the new Avalon Center in Alpharetta.
During the chilly winter day, I wore some clothes I borrowed from Kookopa. Kookopa is this really cool “borrow” or rental site where you can shop the closet of girls all over the country. They have super strict guidelines of what can go on the site, so everything is high quality, designer, and in great condition. My first experience couldn’t have been better. Every piece I got looked brand new. They even sent the return packaging and label so when I was done, all I had to do was pack it up and drop it off downstairs with the concierge. Super easy! You can get 3 pieces for just $175, including shoes, bags and of course, amazing clothes! Update: they improved the process even more! The only upfront fee is a $20 styling fee. Borrowers then choose 3 pieces and only pay for the pieces they want at $45 for the month and send the others back. If they keep 2 or more the styling fee is credited back.
In addition to the regular day to day clothes and accessories, Kookopa also offer event rentals. I rented/borrowed a dress and some shoes for new years and it was so hard for me to send the shoes back. I wanted to keep them so bad! I didn’t end up doing anything for NYE, so I don’t have any photos of that, but I did actually wear the dress and shoes at home for a bit – ha! Is it just me of is NYE always a disaster anyway? The best ones have been the past 2 for me. I just stayed at home with Johnny both years.
I ended up wearing this Diane Von Furstenberg sweater like every day I had it. It’s so cozy and I love the details on it. There’s this really cool blue strip with a zipper on the back. Sorry, I was too cold to snap any more photos this day! The Rebecca Minkoff coat is also perfect in every way. We all know I love my neutrals, so the tan and black combo of this jacket is so up my alley. Although I probably should have worn a warmer jacket that day…And yes, I am standing on a bench here. When you’re 5 feet tall, you just gotta do what you gotta do.
Have you ever tried Kookopa?
