I don’t know about you, but as winter rolls around, I totally become a homebody. I just don’t understand how people go outside when they don’t have to. Cold weather is the worst! So now more than ever, I spend time redecorating and making my house cozy and comfortable.
There are lots of ways to freshen up a space without spending a ton of money. One of the best ways is to simply rearrange and repurpose. During the chillier months of the year, I decided to use my American Signature Furniture wine cabinet (also available at their sister store Value City Furniture, for all you northerners) as a coffee station. Since I just got my new Nespresso Vertuoline, it was perfect timing to create a dedicated coffee space. Just having the coffee station in sight makes me instantly get that warm inside coffee feeling.
Another great way to switch it up in the winter is to add string lights as decor. You can add them around your headboard, along the floor against the wall, or on some furniture like I did here. Obviously, candles are another fab way to bring that cozy feeling to a home. Twinkling lights just have that effect.
I also like to switch out my throw pillows and add throw blankets to furniture in the winter. I just got this from and I love it so much! I also want (omg, and how cute is this ?!), so that will be my next purchase.
What do you do to freshen up your winter home decor?

Disclosure: I received the wine cabinet & Nespresso Vertuoline as gifts from the respective retailers. All opinions are my own.

I’m the same way in the winter. I like to stay inside as much as possible. It’s just too cold, and I wasn’t built for the cold. That’s why we live in the south! I love all of your cozy winter decor!

Exactly! I think I always need to live in the south or California. Although I do love New York!!

I just don’t think anything is better than candles. I love candles and most winter nights there will be at least one candle in my home burning, and scenting the room. 🙂
