I don’t know about you, but as winter rolls around, I totally become a homebody. I just don’t understand how people go outside when they don’t have to. Cold weather is the worst! So now more than ever, I spend time redecorating and making my house cozy and comfortable.

There are lots of ways to freshen up a space without spending a ton of money. One of the best ways is to simply rearrange and repurpose. During the chillier months of the year, I decided to use my American Signature Furniture wine cabinetย (also available at their sister store Value City Furniture, for all you northerners) as a coffee station. Since I just got my new Nespresso Vertuoline, it was perfect timing to create a dedicated coffee space. Just having the coffee station in sight makes me instantly get that warm inside coffee feeling.

Another great way to switch it up in the winter is to add string lights as decor. You can add them around your headboard, along the floor against the wall, or on some furniture like I did here. Obviously, candles are another fab way to bring that cozy feeling to a home. Twinkling lights just have that effect.

I also like to switch outย my throw pillows and add throw blankets to furniture in the winter. I just got this snowflake pillow from Target and I love it so much! I also want this oneย (omg, and how cute is this pillow?!), so that will be my next purchase.

What do you do to freshen up your winter home decor?
