There’s something so crisp and clean about a head-to-toe outfit of wardrobe staples. Sometimes I worry that I’m being too boring or basic when I resort to my staples–especially when it comes to posting it on the blog–but I really really love how this look ended up. I got this white button down at J.Crew in August and I haven’t worn it since the grand opening event I hosted there. Why? I don’t know. It’s totally chic and great for layering in the winter!
This trench has been perfect for the mild winter weather here in Alabama. It’s hovered mostly in the 50s, so a full coat isn’t really necessary, but a faux leather jacket doesn’t always do the trick if I’m not wearing a sweater already. I’ve been wearing this lovely piece daily and it’s been perfect. I really love the peekaboo leopard print on the inside. It’s just the little touch of print I need, especially with simple wardrobe staples like this!
I got these faux leather pants last year and since they’re not totally the most comfortable things in the world, I don’t wear them often. But when I feel like being a little extra made up, I go for them. The zippers add some extra edge, which I love! Finally, I wore these basic black pumps because I mean, what else would go so perfectly with this look?!
What are your winter wardrobe staples?
