Wardrobe Staples

There’s something so crisp and clean about a head-to-toe outfit of wardrobe staples. Sometimes I worry that I’m being too boring or basic when I resort to my staples–especially when it comes to posting it on the blog–but I really really love how this look ended up. I got this at in August and I haven’t worn it since the grand opening event I hosted there. Why? I don’t know. It’s totally chic and great for layering in the winter!
This has been perfect for the mild winter weather here in Alabama. It’s hovered mostly in the 50s, so a full coat isn’t really necessary, but a faux leather jacket doesn’t always do the trick if I’m not wearing a sweater already. I’ve been wearing this lovely piece daily and it’s been perfect. I really love the peekaboo leopard print on the inside. It’s just the little touch of print I need, especially with simple wardrobe staples like this!
I got these last year and since they’re not totally the most comfortable things in the world, I don’t wear them often. But when I feel like being a little extra made up, I go for them. The zippers add some extra edge, which I love! Finally, I wore these basic because I mean, what else would go so perfectly with this look?!
What are your winter wardrobe staples?

I love this look! I’ve been trying to downgrade my closet to just quality pieces, so basics like this are a must. I’m like you though- I have some things that I don’t wear and I have no idea why!

Thanks, girl! Yeah, I definitely try to stick to basics with some accent pieces here and there. Sometimes it’s kind of fun to rediscover something you haven’t worn in so long (or ever)!

A staple in my wardrobe would also definitely be my trench coat! Don’t they pull an outfit together so nicely?
