It’s officially the holidays! Yay! As someone who loves Christmas, I’ve had my tree and decor up since November first, but since it’s now finally acceptable, I’m sharing my gorgeous finds on the blog. I wanted my theme this year to be art deco winter wonderland. I’m doing mostly white with champagne gold and silver accents – just exactly my style! And it’s all thanks to Frontgate. Everything you see here is from Frontgate – how gorgeous, right?!
For the past couple years, I have been dying for a white tree, but since I just got my tree 3 years ago, I couldn’t justify it. I actually got it on sale so I figured I deserved a new one this year. Three years is a good amount of time right?! And I couldn’t be happier with the new one, which was also on sale when I got it – score! My old one was 7.5′ and this one is 9′. I’m in love with how tall it is! Much needed for my super high loft ceilings!
I went all out and decided to get all new ornaments this year since I was sticking to a specific theme. I only got metallic ornaments, besides these cute little fashion ladies. I can’t get over them!!! I feel like they go with the theme because most of them are in little vintage outfits. And what a great way to tie in something I live for: fashion!
When it comes to holiday decor, the accents are everything. You put up a tree, of course, but it doesn’t end there. You need warmth and coziness. I always switch out my accent pillows and blanket with more wintery versions. For my pillows, that means metallic prints and these trees + tassels, and for the blanket, that means this super cool faux fur throw. Finally, I add some candles and garland and I’m good to go!
Another thing I always put out is holiday potpourri. I got some at TJ Maxx years ago and it still smells so good. I suggest adding evergreen scented candles or wax melts and then you’ve totally got the cozy winter vibes goin. I also recently discovered scented ornaments. Yep, that’s right! So even if you have a fake tree like me, it can smell like evergreen all winter long!
And then for the first time ever, I have a wreath! It’s an indoor wreath, so I have it on the inside of my front door, but it totally brings the holiday spirit all the way across my house. I love my decor this year and I couldn’t be happier with it! I even have a whole set up outside, but more on that later!
