I’ve shared my passion for self-care Sunday on my blog and Instagram a lot, but what about those Sundays during travel? Obviously I travel a lot, so I’ve had to figure out a way to make it work. At first, I wouldn’t even try to make time for myself and my skincare routine. I’d tell myself that I would just do it when I’m home, but I quickly realized that my skin takes a beating when I’m constantly going in and out of different environments, huddled on a moving germ machine for 8-hour flights, and most likely not getting enough sleep or water. So I made it a point to continue—and maybe even amp up—my self-care Sundays when I’m not at home.

The first problem to tackle is the liquids rule. I don’t check bags and I never will after the Scotland debacle (who remembers that one? Ugh!), so I can’t bring any liquids over 3.4 ounces. Most facemasks don’t come in travel size and they’re almost always liquid or gel, so what’s a girl to do? Enter Olay’s new Clay Stick Masks. That’s right, they come in a stick! It’s basically like a big glue stick or a smaller deodorant in form. Genius right?!

There are 3 different masks, and all of them smell so heavenly. The scent is something that always gets me. I don’t want to have to mask a bad smell (hehe, get it?), especially when I’m trying to bring as few toiletries as possible on a trip, so when a product works and smells good, I’m in. You can even use all three at once in different targeted areas. Which brings me to my next travel self-care hurdle: limited time.

When I’m traveling, I’m on the go nonstop. I want to be able to see everything and do everything during my short visit. So once I get back to my room, I just want to crash. With the Olay Clay Stick Mask, I can do three masks at once and get all the benefits in just 10 minutes. That’s right, you only have to leave them on for 10 minutes. I think I can spare that for radiant skin no matter where I am, right?

I even got my bestie Danasia involved on this last trip. We were on a cruise to the Bahamas and spending a ton of time in the sun. We were both feeling like we needed a deep clean, and I remembered that I had brought my Olay Pore Detox Mask, so after a day at the beach, we had a little self-care session before dinner. We both felt great after!

My favorite thing about the Olay Clay Stick Masks doesn’t have anything to do with travel; it’s amazing anywhere. It’s the fact that there’s absolutely no mess with these masks. I’ve learned not to use my hands to apply masks when possible (I use a flat makeup brush), but no matter what, masks are always messy. I have to clean my brush and hands and I just feel like it gets all over the place. With the sticks, you just put it directly on your face and you’re done. You could totally even do this on a plane. So easy and mess free!
