My Summer Beauty Routine

As the weather heats up and the sun rays become more noticable (yay!), it’s important to change up your beauty routine. I make big changes to my routine twice a year for summer and winter with small tweaks for spring and fall. This summer, my main focus is SPF. It’s always important to wear SPF, but I’m making it my goal this summer to wear SPF every day. Then it will hopefully become a habit!
Before the SPF though, there is the first step of skincare: cleansers, toners, and serums. I recently started using Obagi products and I am loving them so far. I have also started using a retinol product. Retinol makes the skin extremely sensitive to the sun, so although most people only use it at night, I still think it’s important to take the extra precaution of piling on the SPF.
It’s seriously so beyond important to take care of your skin, especially on your face. Sunspots and premature wrinkles? Um, no thank you. As you know, I’ve been using Olay Whips (and loving it!), and I also really really loved Olay Regenerist, so when I found out they combined the two and added SPF, I was instantly sold. The Olay Regenerist Whips with SPF 25 is without a doubt my new favorite moisturizer. Obviously I love that it has SPF in it, but I also love that it feels smooth and light on the skin – not greasy like some SPFs. It seriously absorbs instantly! I have to admit though, my favorite thing about this product is the scent. I can’t get enough of it! It just smells so feminine and fresh. Also, it’s so easy to get. I can just pop in Walgreens, grab it, and be out within minutes.
After my moisturizer, I put on a BB cream with SPF in it as well. I’ve been using in medium, and it creates a nice healthy summer glow. I don’t wear it alone because I like a little bit more coverage (thanks for nothing, sunspots!), so I will also add a foundation or some powder on top of the BB cream. I just ordered the . Let’s hope it’s as amazing as everyone says!

I wear spf every day winter or summer ………because who needs sun spots and wrinkles….no thanks…..and im im pale…….nowadays spray tans and sunless tanners and bronzers look just as good!

I’ll admit I rarely wear spf unless I’m planning a day outside at the beach! I need to be better!

I used to be so good about wearing SPF and now I don’t wear it nearly as often as I should. I usually only wear it if it’s in my foundation! I need to wear it on its own like I used to.
